Apps for the youngest children (primary school)
For the little ones, we have collected a number of completely simple apps.
They get the child started putting together small commands in a sequence, which gives an understanding that a program is basically just a recipe. That is a series of instructions that a figure on the screen must follow to the letter.
Hour of Code (in Danish)
Hour of Code are small one-hour sessions that can be used at home or at school. Code.org is behind the initiative, which is supported by funds from, among others, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon and Google.
Everything takes place in web apps.

The game is very intuitive, and incredibly easy to get started with, even for the little ones.
No login or setup is required to get started, you simply select some “pieces” with commands and place them in a sequence. You can then press “Run” and test how it works.

Once you have made your own version of the game, you can share it with your friends and let them try it out.
Hour of Code is a really good place to start, and it’s actually great fun for kids and adults alike. You can easily try it with your child, without having any understanding of programming.
